Storming Shakespeare
Triple dos à dos is the name I've given to the binding of this miniature book, it has four book boards in all, with three text blocks. Letterpress printed on cotton and handmade Japanese gampi papers, the essay explores Shakespeare's use of storms in Julius Caesar, King Lear and The Tempest. Parts 2 and 3 contain quotations from the plays, with original monotype and drypoint illustrations. Leather bound, in slip case, fastened with ribbons on one side and sterling silver hook and loops, varied edition of 20, signed and numbered. Size approx. 2.8"x 2.6" x 1", CA$ 895.00 (about US$ 881.00, March '13).
