Annabel Lee is a beautifully detailed, one-of-a-kind, hand-lettered manuscript of Edgar Allan Poe's poem, written out and gilded by calligrapher Maryanne Grebenstein. Using the same materials and techniques that have been employed by scribes for centuries, the artist has created a unique book containing the heartfelt lament written by Poe about the loss of "the beautiful Annabel Lee." The binding is of hand-marbled paper and book cloth over boards created by Elizabeth Rideout. The eight-page manuscript is hand-lettered in the Italic style, the gold is 23.75-karat, includes a signed colophon, the size is 9.5" x 12.5". Unique. $3900.
